  3. I spoke to Robert Wuhl at a Dodger game last year and told him that was on of my favorite scenes ever. He said that Ron Shelton had to fight to keep it in the movie because the Producers didnt understand it and why it was funny. I was like are you kidding me, that is the freaking movie. Genius!!

  4. Great scene. Danny Gans was a very good ball player until his achilles tendon ruptured, subsequently ending his baseball career. His son plays in college.

    I know this is really off topic, but the 3rd basemen that comes in and says did you hear about millie and jimmy getting engaged is Danny Gans. He actually passed away yesterday at 52. He was a famous impressionist out in Las Vegas…..sad news.

  15. We pulled this stunt one time last season, except we were trying to decide where to go eat after the game, took us 4 minutes to discuss it. Umps weren’t happy at all.

    One of the best scenes in one of the greatest baseball movies ever made.
    i am still trying to find the scene in which Costner calls the Ump a cock sucker.
