Family Reunion Ideas to connect the whole family

by Chris Kongsri

Family reunions can be fun and wondrous or they can be akward and boring; which would you rather? I know that when I’ve gone to family reunions I’ve had an amazing time catching up with people I haven’t seen for years. Here are some family reunion ideas that all ages can enjoy.

Planning for a family reunion is a best way to keep all your family members siblings, aunts, cousins, grandparents, uncles, nieces and nephews connected. An annual gathering of all the extended family members is a great way to keep everyone in the circle about forthcoming or recent births, weddings or any other life events. As with any large group of people, it is important to put some structure into place for special events. It might be nice to offer some planned. You do not have to plan all these activities, but you could request brochures from companies that provide them.

Remember, it is also important to leave plenty of free time for your family to relax and enjoy themselves. Some personality types work very well when they are on the go constantly, but others need a scheduled naptime or just a general break to recover and recharge their batteries.

To organize a family reunion you have to keep certain things in mind. To plan a family reunion it takes time, commitment, and planning. Therefore, it is always better to make a list of the following items like the date, location, travel and lodging, invitations, facilities, food, program and format, finances, mailing lists communications etc.

A jigsaw puzzle collage is virtually like a family reunion in itself as it brings everyone together at the same time and place: similar to the pieces of the puzzle itself!

Kids, grandparents and everyone in between will enjoy the mystery of the family photo puzzle and will not be able to wait until all of the pieces have been put together to finally reveal the collage or large family photo that is just waiting to be unveiled.

Family reunion ideas do not have to be complicated, expensive or revolutionary. A simply activity such as putting a photo collage jigsaw puzzle together with all of the family can result in some very happy memories being relived, plus excitement and astonishment as you see how much everyone has grown up (and how much the family has expanded in numbers!).

Therefore, you must consider this photo jigsaw puzzle as an activity in your next family reunion and see how this event turns out to be a “fun” event. Photo jigsaw puzzles are great ways to enhance a reunion, but the most important part of any family reunion of course is gathering. There is no wrong time to have a family reunion. If your family does not currently have a tradition of annual family reunions, one fantastic event can certainly start a longstanding tradition and strengthen family ties throughout the generations.
