Memorable Gift
One night when I was having dinner with some friends, I suddenly screamed! It’s because something suddenly popped out from my mind. Next Friday is Jamie, our best friend’s birthday! What gift sould we present her to give her a surprise?
Jamie is in Amsterdam for her business degree and we are in Hong Kong. We can’t make a nice birthday party for her as gift, or else we need to spend a whole fortune to get to the Netherlands (The point is, I’ve just been to a shopping spree!)
Although we cannot celebrate Jamie’s birthday with her in person, we still would love to give her a special gift to make her birthday more remarkable, with our love.
It would cost us a lot if we send her a vast gift, the posting cost is quite expensive as Amsterdam is quite far away, and also we may not have enough time to post gifts to her. The biggest problem is, her mummy and daddy are wealthy enough to give her everything she likes. We couldn’t think of anything special.
We spent a very long period of time thinking of what we should give Jamie as gifts. This brought me a headache. What does Jamie want most? What would remind Jamie of us and our love? And the gift must not be very expensive or bulky to post.
An idea jumped out from my brain out of a sudden. One day I was glancing through my friend’s facebook, I saw some very romantic stuff. My friend draws e-cards to his girlfriend every day to present her his love, and his girlfriend draws back to him too!
I think that Jamie will feel deeply touched if every one of us designs our own e-card and send them to her on her birthday as gifts! We can draw whatever we like and say whatever we want to say on the e-cards.
How surprising would that be! These gifts would make Jamie feel that we are with her as they help to send our love to her. Jamie, please draw us your love back using the DIY e-cards! I know you miss us!
