My scented candles enlightenment – My Vanilla Dream
In October 2011 I uncovered a whole new world opening up to me in connection with home scent products, with a business I found or stumbled across on the social network website Twitter, called Busy Bee Candles. They are definitely a small company based in Wales and although I had never heard of them before stumbling across them on Twitter, I quickly visited at their site! Indeed their massive range of fragrances are fantastic. I was totally hooked! I chose to initially place a tiny order.
My initial order was for a mini candle (Chocolate Brownie) and five wax tarts, one of which was Vanilla Dream (the others being Pink Lemonade, Cranberry Crush, Mango and Papaya Smoothie and Bakewell Slice). They arrived in about a week and I got to smelling!
Now, I have always thought of vanilla as a nice straightforward smell. I’ve had a long relationship with vanilla, it (well, vanilla essence) being a crucial ingredient in my famous cup cakes (by famous I mean my children adore them). So it was nearly natural to pick this as one of the first smells to try, particularly as it was described as being like popping the lid on your favorite vanilla ice cream – mmmmm! And oh my, I was not disappointed , it was wonderful “to put it bluntly, I was in scented heaven! It was just right – not too sickly or sweet. Just nice and straightforward.
Just as importantly it was even a triumph with my motorbike loving husband who, commented ‘what’s that scent? ‘ when he just entered the room where the wax tart was being used. I told him and he announced ‘that’s totally the very best candle you’ve ever lit!’. And trust me that is a Gigantic compliment!
That, my dear reader, is why Vanilla Dream has since become a firm favourite and I ensure I have this fragrance available to use whenever I want to drift off into a Vanilla Dream!
