Do you feel like the popular clich image known by most when holding a martini glass served with green olives? Well now you have many choices it seems when it comes to martini cocktails, adding maraschino cherries, lemons, limes, oranges and chocolate to the mix.

How would you like your martini served? Stirred or shaken? Mixing the ingredients together in a shaker is a great way to blend the ingredients together. However, most bartenders will tell you that vigorously shaking the contents releases oxygen into the cocktail giving it a finer and smoother taste.

One of the most important things to remember is that when you serve a martini; never let the glass reach room temperature. Keep the glass ice cold and you will be the star at the party.
